The Thing (remake) Trailer

Hmm...  My comments might make more sense after you watch it:

The Thing is a remake of the classic John Carpenter film (here on Amazon ) which was a blatant rip-off of the H P Lovecraft book, At the Mountains of Madness.  I loved the book and the original movie.  I was even a little excited about the remake...

Now, all I have to go on is the trailer, but it looks like a jump out of nowhere to make you jump, cheap horror movie...  Hopefully, there is more to it than that, but the trailer reminded me more of Mimic than The Thing.  Not a good thing to be reminded of.
