Fiat iustitia--ruat caelum

Do justice, and let the skies fall.

I was thinking about Bold Liberalism today, and realized that I have to practice what I preach. If we are every going to escape the shadowy margins we have been forced into, we have to make strong, definitive statement.

The right has won the dialogue, in part by boiling their ideology down into bumperstick sized sound bites. That is our weakness. So what is the core philosophy of Liberalism? Do justice and let the sky fall!

Some principles are too important to comprimise. Without justice, there is no freedom. Without freedom, there is no life. Life calls out for liberty! Integrity for justice. From here, all virtues flow.

We now have a motto: Do justice, and let the skies fall!
