Alice in Chains Acid Bubble Interactive Video FAIL
Image via WikipI just watched Alice in Chains' supposedly interactive video for Acid Bubble.
What they are calling interactivity is that at scripted moments while the camera is floating in a womb you can pan the camera to look at different scene of violence projected on the walls of the uterus...
I expected so much more from Alice in Chains. They produced some of the most visually interesting videos of my youth. Man in the Box is still one of my favorites. They are actually one of the few bands that I own a video collection from. This video is not all that interactive, visually stunning, or good.
The song, Acid Bubble is alright, but more on par with the B-sides from Dirt. I wanted a dark phantasmagoria and instead was just reminded that Jerry Cantrell is obsessed with the Vietnam War. So sad, and not in the right way.
