Freddie Mercury as played by Sasha Baron Cohen

According to Variety, Baron Cohen is going to play Freddie Mercury in film...

(sigh)  I admit, there is some resemblance between the two of them, but I am concerned about the Borat-Bruno guy filling Freddie's shoes.

The only roles on his IMDB page that gives me any hope that he might be able to pull this off is Sweeny Todd and Madagascar... but that is not a lot to go on.

Freddie Mercury was an original, and I am not exactly thrilled about the idea of a biopic.  I wish I knew what Brian May thought.  He knew Freddie, and would be in a better position to judge a project like this...
