I've been reading Dead Until Dark, and I have to say everything I heard about Charlene Harris' writing skill is wrong, just plain wrong. I love the book, and so far, I haven't seen too many things different from True Blood Season 1, except for Bubba.
I'm not sure what's going to happen to Bubba, but I love the idea that an overly zealous Elvis fan working in the morgue refused to let the King pass away. I am also amazed that Harris did not bring back an idealized version of the King as so many have in their novels. Bravo. I cannot wait to see what happens to him, and I kinda wish he was in the show.
