The Jedi Civil War: Star Wars The Old Republic Timeline

The Jedi Civil War began in 3959 BBY and ended in 3956 BBY.  Two prominent Jedi Knights Raven and Malak pursued enemy forces into deep space at the end of the Mandalorian wars.  There on Dromund Kaas they found the True Sith Emperor.  A short time latter they both returned to the galaxy as Sith Lords to make way for the true Sith Emperor's Return.

Their orders were to find the ancient Star Forge, to build a Sith fleet and take over the galaxy.  The plan is interrupted by Malak's growing ambition and his betrayal of Revan which sparked the bloody Jedi Civil War.  Instead of killing Revan the Jedi wiped his memory and most of his force powers, redeeming Revan who eventually defeated Malak and restoring peace to the galaxy.  He disappeared into Deep Space again in search of a great darkness which we latter learn is the Sith Emperor.

This is a great time in Star Wars history.  The game Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic takes place during this time and is an amazing game both in play and story!
