Trailer: Tron Legacy

This trailer was debut at Comic Con and it is stunning.  I like how the world of Tron is in a more life like graphic quality with out loosing some of the fun nostalgic look that the original movie has.  I love the new cycles and how the field they race on now has levels moving from 2d (racing right, left, forward and backward) to 3d (adding and up and down).   Watch the Video above.

I love watching Tron.  It''s a great film, fun premise and an interesting look at the graphic quality of games in the 80's... the tanks still make me giggle.

The idea of  doing another Tron was not distasteful to me because game graphics have moved into a more realistic style and a remake could feature that evolution of gaming.  My hope is that the movie does not loose the great story from the original Tron.

Story: Sam Flynn a the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn, looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years.  Father and son Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
