DVD Releases: May 19, 2009
Out this week we have five DVDs to feature: Fanboys, True Blood: The Complete First Season, Dragon Ball Z: Season Nine, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, and Outlander.

True Blood: The Complete First Season
: The HBO vampire series involving a mind-reading Louisiana waitress who falls for vampire. In this setting the vampires live openly, drink synthetic blood, try to improve their image and legitimize their finances. I've been very curious about this series and plan on renting it.
: The Majin Buu season of Dragon Ball when Goku and Vegeta must put aside their feud and team up in order to beat the new and ever growing menace.
Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus: This direct to DVD movie about a giant shark and a giant octopus battling it out and menacing the California coast. Watch the trailer and read more about this here:
Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus Monster Mania!: This looks interesting, Outlander is a retelling of a more classic viking tale of the hero who must set out to defeat the dragon in the hills. The twist on this one is that the dragon in the hills is an extraterrestrial monstrosity called the Moorwen and the hero is an alien who was fleeing an interstellar war and crashes on the shores of Norway during the Iron Age.
