Exploring: Underworld Rise of the Lycans
Underworld Rise of the Lycans hits theaters Friday January 23rd 2009 and I can’t wait to see it. I loved Underworld & Underworld: Evolution both really created an immaculate reality and set it’s self out with a beautiful gothic ascetic.
Rise of the Lycans is a prequel tracing the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. Roughly 600 years before the events in Underworld a young Lycan named Lucian emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor, the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Viktor’s daughter Sonja, in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.
This movie promises to be great, exploring more of the Vampire v. werewolf story that was hinted at in Underworld 1 & 2.
