Unknown Director for Voltron Flick

Latino Review is making a big claim: Exclusive: We Know Who Is Directing Voltron!!

And the answer is: Max Makowski.

Don't worry if that name doesn't ring a bell with you.  According to IMDB, he only has 6 director credits to his name, most notably, an episode of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and One Last Dance.  Yeah, I haven't heard of him or his work before either.

One possible hitch in this "exclusive" is that he reportedly working on a Kung Fu movie for release in 2009, so that would effect the schedule.

Wait a tick!  They are doing a remake of the Kung Fu series as a film for release next year and this is the first I am hearing about it?
