It's confession time I really do like the Stargate series but I am not able to watch appointment TV so I have not seen any episodes beyond around the fifth series. That being said I was concerned about watching this movie because I herd that the movie is a little dense. I was very pleased that they defied my expectations and put out a brilliant Stargate movie that I was able to follow and enjoy.
I really liked this movie. They really captured the feel of the show from back in the Showtime days. This is definitely an owner as I sit here trying to resist the temptation not to put the DVD back into the player and watch the movie again.
Blasting off where Stargate SG-1, left off, this thrilling feature thrusts the Stargate team into their biggest challenge yet. In search of an Ancient artifact they hope can defeat the oppressive Priors of the Ori. Their attempts to find the ancient artifact gets complicated when the I.O. operative aboard the Odyssey executes another plan to defeat the armies of the Ori.

Play movie with prelude feature
**Spoiler Alert** bringing the Replicants back was a nice touch.
Really captured the fun adventurous spirit that made Stargate so cool
the Terminator homage bit was brilliantly done
Dislikes / Concerns
The stupid overdone helicopter walking scene shot: it caused the movie to drag.
The end was a little cliche, not necessarily a bad thing though.
