Doctor Who Site Change

BBC announced that they are in process to do an entire site overhaul for their Doctor Who section. Does this mean that they may take up some more web friendly practices?

"... a new site design and a much more dynamic way of accessing your favourite content... Don't worry - we're keeping all your favourite features, and adding plenty of brand new ones over the coming weeks. For example, look out for exclusive videos from the show's stars, quizzes, puzzles and The Monster Fileså We've got some surprises too, but we'll keep those under wraps for the moment."

Some surprises! I hope that maybe that would include add supported streaming feature. I would love to be able to watch Doctor Who in near real time.  This way I can join in on the conversation and excitement along with fellow fans who can already watch it in near real time.

The update will occur on Wednesday April 2.
