"The Incredible Hulk" Trailer

(sigh) I have seen many things in the movies that amazed me and made me buy in instantly that some fantastical thing on the screen because it looked so real. I have believed in Jedi and SIth, vampires, and monsters of every kind that you can imagine, and even some I could not have.

Why, then, is it impossible to bring the Hulk to the big screen without making it cartoonish?

I don't mind it if it is supposed to be animated, but animation mixed with live action is for Mary Poppins, not The Incredible Hulk. I can only hope that this is a side effect of video compression for the web.
