What's up with WALL•E?

I really want to know what deal with the WALL•E advertising campaign? When I read the description of the movie, I am intrigued and excited to see the movie.

What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? WALL•E, a robot, spends every day doing what he was made for. But soon, he will discover what he was meant for. That sounds interesting, but then I watch the trailer (like this one from the superbowl) Am I the only one that is completely bored by the ads? I have enjoyed every Pixar flick I have seen, but this is bugging me.
