The Watchmen trial has been moved back to January 20, 2009 at the request of both Warner Bros and 20th Century Fox.
The judge declared that he could not make a summary judgement because the contracts in question are so open to interpretation, and that a trial is required (/Film).
I am not sure how this could effect the release of the film, but trials can take a long time and Fox is determined to stop this film from coming out.
