In Theaters: City of Ember

This movie is about a society that has lived their way of life for 200 years and now has to change their way of life or go extinct.  I like the premise of the movie but have some concerns as to how it will play out.  The trailer looks descent.   The movie is listed as Adventure, Family, & Fantasy and I’m concerned that they will focus more on the family nature and thus detracting from the true tension which is human nature’s fear of change and the threat of extinction.  I’m putting this on my rent list rather then theater.

Let me know what you think.  Will you go to see City of Ember in the theater on October 10th or rent it?  If you have seen it in the theater should I go see it and why?
