The teaser is out for Hunter Prey watch it above. The movie is about a team of special forces commandos who must recapture an escaped alien prisoner after the military transport ship carrying it crashes on a desolate and hostile planet.
I love the look of the commandos... they really give me a Star Wars bounty hunter kind of feel. This is enhanced with the retro-70's style that the film is going for.
Sandy Collora directs the independent Sci-Fi film. She used a more streamlined approach to the movie keeping the budget down. First she used an 18 day shooting schedule and she used the Red camera system. The RED camera system which could revolutionize the filming process because it promises to give the same quality but costs as much to buy as it is to rent the camera systems used for movies today.
Resident Evil Afterlife Trailer 2
Exploring: Resident Evil Afterlife Trailer 2
Second trailer is out and it helps to clarify some of the conflict that we will see between Alice and The Umbrella Corporation. I like that there is more footage giving a different perspective on what to expect in the film, aka less of a Matrix feeling.
I want one of these...
The next in the Resident Evil movie franchise has it's first trailer, watch it above. It looks like a Resident Evil movie which is good. This is one of the few franchises that were able to get their movies to look and feel more like the game with out looking like a bad movie.
Milla Jovovich returns to reprise her role as Alice!
The trailer is really good: I get to see the set up for some of the boss battles. Some teasers for what different kind of mutated enemies we will get to see and the set up for the condition of everything after the outbreak.
Resident Evil: Afterlife picks up some time after the events of Resident Evil: Extinction. Roaming the world searching for any remaining survivors Alice enters the ruins Los Angeles. She stumbles onto a base of Umbrella surrounded by zombies. Finding a group of survivors hiding out She then teams up with them to help free another group being held in a prison. Among those prisoners she finds Claire's brother, Chris Redfield.

Exploring: Predators Trailer
The trailer gives the Predators movie a feel much more like the original Predator movie. I also like that they have the Predators collecting their prey for a big game hunt since the humans proved themselves formidable and it is a typical behavior for them to do so.
Both franchises had their first movie named in the singular and featured only one. Aliens went on to feature many Aliens in it's second movie and was thus named in the plural. Predators also will feature multiple of the hunter warriors and is named in the plural.
Predators' release date 7th July 2010
Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they’ve been brought together on an alien planet… as prey. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members human “predators” that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators.
Ninja Assassin Trailer and Movie Poster
Ninja Assassin, the perfect blending of two things I love in one movie, martial arts films, and Wachowski Brothers films finally has a trailer out and it looks great. Watch the Trailer Below.
The action is stunning. The part that gives me a lot of hope is the closing scene with the car. This tells me that the Wachowski Brothers not only worked toward a stunning film with great martial arts but they are also going to use the Hong Kong style. Blending in moments of humor into the stunning martial arts scenes to help balance out the tension and mood.
The tools of the trade for Ninjas is one of my interests particularly because they are more fluid in form and style. This is due to the the focus being on success lending to a plethora of modified weaponry. I like seeing the creativity that goes into those modifications. Imagine my delight watching this trailer when I got to see in just a few minutes a lot of different weapons... I wonder how that sword works.
The poster below is another great example of the weapons featured. The Wachowski Brothers did not go for the traditional sword wielding picture but instead are showing off that beautiful modified version of a Kusarigama using a nice dagger instead of a sickle.
Story: Raizo, kidnapped as a child and raised by the Ozunu Clan, is one of the world's deadliest assassins. When Raizo's friend is executed by the clan, he flees into hiding. Meanwhile, Mika Coretti, a Europol agent, retrieves secret agency files on The Clan. Finding out about the investigation, The Clan attempts to assassinate her, but she is rescued by Raizo. Reemerging, seeking revenge he must find a way to take down the Ozunu Clan.
Ninja Assassin is due out November 24th according to the poster which is in conflict or has changed from the original believed date of November 25th. I'm not going to hold my breath on either dates and expect latter clarification because the 24th is a Tuesday which is not a typical release day though it is just before thanksgiving weekend so it may hold for that date. In either case it is too far off I can't wait to watch it.
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen New TV Spots
Michael Bay added 3 new TV spots to the web to wet our appetites for the next Transformer movie. A lot of the footage is included in previously movies but each one does have a little treat in it, that and the quality of the players is really nice.
The first video features some new transformers not previously shown in other clips: what looks like a train transformer and a swarm of micro transformers but my favorite part is watching Devastator put himself together!
