Well, finally and hope for a new direction of the StarTrek universe. I can only hope they do it right this time. Make the Federation as a whole for what it truly would be if being run by humans. Clever, using whatevermeans to meet their objectives, to hell with the prime directive.
Just take a page from our past, we explore, manipulate and subvert those who we meet (if we can). There’s plenty of material to work with.
I love the Klingons for their simplicity; we will kick your ass in the name of honor. The Borg, a race with a one track mind, The Breen, who we never saw too much of but appeared to be deadly, and so on.
